Visa
Basically, you need a visa to enter the Russian Federation. Your passport needs to be valid six (6) months beyond the intended departure date from the Russian Federation. Furthermore, you need a valid health insurance for the Russian Federation and a proof of your income for the embassy (new policy since 01.11.2010).
We can arrange the visa for you. Therefore we require your passport, visa application form as well as two passport pictures at least eight (8) weeks before departure. However, since the embassy does not accept any application by post, we are cooperating with a consular agency that is located in the same city as the embassy. You may also apply for your visa directly there. We provide you with the necessary invitation free of charge. We recommend the consular agency Servisum which is our partner since 1994.
Note: You will receive your passport just shortly before departure. You can find the visa application form as part of the registration documents.
Your visa must be registered upon arrival in St. Petersburg. This will be handled
by your contact at the university.
